WHAT IS A SOLAR FARM?
An area where a large number of solar panels are set-up to generate electrical power.
WHAT IS DONE WITH SOLAR POWER PRODUCED ON A FARM?
The power generated by the solar farm will be sold to the power grid.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SOLAR FARM?
Renergetica is responsible for all assessment costs, development costs, property taxes related to the solar farm. Once the lease has ended, we will remove all equipment and modules from the solar farm and will be responsible for any associated costs.
WHO HANDLES THE INTERCONNECTION AND MUNICIPAL PERMITS AND FEES?
Our experienced team will handle any permits required and Renergetica is responsible for any fees associated with those permits.
WILL THE SOLAR FARM IMPACT NEARBY PROPERTY VALUES?
After extensive consultations with property appraisers on existing projects, there is no evidence that solar farms impact nearby property or home values. This is largely attributed to the fact that solar farms have no negative impact on noise, odor, traffic, light, or the environment once in operation.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DEVELOP AND BUILD A SOLAR FARM?
From our extensive experience, the development process is dependent upon several key factors, including local permitting approval and interconnection studies with the utility. While the construction of a solar farm could be complete in less than six months, the approvals and studies are the time intensive aspects of the process. On average, we estimate about 24 months from the signing of the land lease to the finish of the construction.
WHAT IS A SOLAR LEASE AND HOW LONG IS THE AVERAGE TERM?
A solar lease is a contract between the property owner and Renergetica that allows us to install a solar farm in exchange for payments to the landowner. Each contract is different, but generally they are at least 20 years and sometimes have an option to extend for an additional period.
WHAT IS THE IDEAL LAND FOR A SOLAR FARM?
We typically require at least 10 contiguous acres of relatively flat land which is clear of wetlands and endangered species. In addition, solar farms require close proximity to power lines and utility substations.
